BIRS Shuts Down Ortom's Oracle Company Over Unsettled Tax

Following a court order from the Benue State High Court, presided over by Justice Theresa Igoche, the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) has sealed the premises of Oracle Business Limited due to unpaid taxes amounting to N93, 539, 875.23. The affected entities include the Plastic Industry at Industrial Layout, Makurdi, and Goshen and Shiloh Table Water, owned by Dr. Samuel Ortom, the immediate past Governor of Benue State. Moreover, Jagshu Nigeria Limited and Ugbechi Filling Station were sealed for failure to meet their tax obligations.
