Rebecca Cheptegei, Uganda's Olympic Athlete, Dies After Ex-Boyfriend Attacked Her with Gasoline

 

Rebecca Cheptegei, Uganda's Olympic Athlete, has d!ed after brutal Attack by Former Boyfriend over land dispute. 

The 33-year-old athlete passed away at a Kenyan hospital, where she was receiving treatment for severe burns covering 80% of her body. According to police reports, her former boyfriend Dickson Ndiema stormed her residence with a jerry can of gasoline, doused her in petrol, and set her on fire following a land dispute. 

Ndiema, who also sustained burns, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Eldoret, as confirmed by Trans Nzoia County police commander Jeremiah ole Kosiom.
