On Wednesday, the Kogi State Election Petitions Court annulled Senator Abubakar Ohere's victory as the winner of the Kogi central senatorial election.
The court also declared Natasha Akpoti Uduagan the de facto winner of February's Senate elections.
The presiding judge of the court, K.A. Orjiako, who read the unanimous verdict of the trio, said Ohere's results at nine polling stations in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area (LGA) were overstated and Natasha's in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) area. He said her results were deliberately lowered. The three other investigative units yielded the same results for Natasha that were intentionally not entered into her LGA.
After making the appropriate corrections, the court declared Natasha of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) the winner with 54,074 votes and Mr. Ohere (APC) with 51,291 votes.
