President Tinubu appoints Mr. Kanyion Shaaka Chira New Auditor General of the Federation

  Mr.  Kanyon Shaaka Chira has been appointed the new auditor General of the federation, the president's Special  Advisor  on media and advertising, Chief Ajuri Ngelale said in a state house press release. 

 

The statement reads:  Pursuant to the  powers vested on him by  section  86 of the 1999 Constitution  (as amended),  President Bola Tinubu  approves  the appointment of Mr.  Kanyon Shaaka Chira  as  Substantive Auditor General  of the  Federation on the recommendation of  the Federal Civil Service  Commission.  (FCSC).  .  

 

 The President  has confirmed the appointment of  Mr.  Chira  after the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) conducted a  review and found him to be  the most qualified  of  all  eligible  candidates for the  position with the highest score. approved.  

 

 President Bola Tinubu expects the new  Auditor General  to justify the  trust placed  in him and  live up to the high expectations  of  Nigerians  in  the  implementation  of his  administration’s “New Hope” agenda.
