Gunmen attacked multiple banks in Otukpo, killing 15 people (PHOTOS)

 Earlier today,  men armed with heavy weapons invaded  some  banks in Otukpo area of  ​​BENUE State and several people  were  killed  in the process. 

  According to sources,  robbers attacked  4 banks:  Stanbic Bank, First Bank, U.B.A and Zenith Bank. 

  Seven  people  were killed at  UBA, two  were killed at Zenith Bank, two at Stanbic IBTC while about three  people  were killed at  Otukpo  Divisional Police  Headquarters  located directly opposite,  next to  and adjacent  to  main  branch  of First Bank in Otukpo  Town,  Stanbic Bank and UBA  Bank.  

  Furthermore,  at the Homeland Defense Office, the local  police  office, two  people  were  shot  but only one of them  was  alive at the time of  writing  this report.

  

 The report also  said  that  when  the  bandits left  the town after two hours of  continuous attack,  soldiers  allegedly intercepted  them along  the  Otukpo/Taraku road and killed one of the  bandits in a gunfight.  However, the  thieves escaped  with  the remains of their dead  gang  member.
