With the continued increase in commodities in the market, the Central Bank of Nigeria is changing its stance and lifting restrictions on 43 commodities in the country.
The 43 elements include:
Rice, cement, margarine, palm kernels, palm oil products and vegetable oils, Meat and processed meat products and Vegetables and processed vegetable products.
Other products are: Poultry and processed poultry products, Geisha fish/canned sardines, Cold-rolled steel sheets, Galvanized steel sheets, Roofing sheets, Wheelbarrows, Pans, Boxes and metal containers, Enamel, Steel drums, Steel pipes, Wire rods (deformed and undeformed), Iron bars and rebar, Steel mesh, Steel nails, Fences and safety posts and razors, Plates and Wood chipboard, Panels and fiberboards, Plywood panels and panels, Wooden doors, Toothpicks, Glass and glassware, Kitchen utensils, Tableware, Tiles and glass ceramics, Textiles, Fabrics, Clothing, Plastic and rubber products, polypropylene granules, cellophane packaging and bags, Soaps and cosmetics, Tomatoes/tomato paste, Eurobonds/currency bonds/stock purchases, Piston crowns -bearings, bearings, high voltage cables, transformers/switchgear and gas cylinders.
According to financial experts, commodity prices are expected to decline.
