Nigerian pastor commits suicide after girlfriend dumped him

 

 Pastor Prosper  Igboke  committed suicide after  jumping  from a  two-story  building in Nnewi, Anambra state. 

 

 PUNCH Newspaper reports that sources in the area said  Igbokwe  jumped  from  a two-story  building and died instantly after  being abandoned  by his lover,  with  whom he  spent  a lot of money.  

 A relative of the deceased who spoke to  reporters  on  Saturday  said the 30-year-old man from  the  Leru community in  the  Umunneochi  local government area in  Abia  state  trained his  mistress at the University ,  she  later turned down  his marriage proposal. 

  “It  happened last  month,” he said.  The man  (Igbokwe)  was  only  30 years old  when he died.  His girlfriend, whom he  plans  to  marry, lets  him  down  after  going to college.  

 “He jumped  from a  two-story  building and died. I  was amazed  that a man of  that  age and a pastor  could  do  it.  

 

 

 According to  village tradition, the relative said he was buried in  the  forest for committing  blasphemy.  

  The source added: 'He  was  finally  buried  in a bush in his  community on Friday.  

 However, when contacted,  DSP  state police  spokesman  Tochukwu  Ikenga  said the  case had  not  been  brought  to  the police  headquarters.  “There is no  such  information  in front of  me, and I  also  want to  thank you for  this insider  information. I will  pass  this  information on  to the  regional sheriff to take  the  necessary  action,”  Ikenga added.
