The All Progressive Congress APC primary elections who h was ordered in eleven 11 Local Government Area in Benue state has began.
Recall the appeal court sitting in BENUE state had ordered the APC to conduct a rerun in of the election that produced Rev.Fr Hyacinth Alia as it flaggbear.
The primary is to be conducted in 11 local governments out of the 23 in the state.
James Ornguga, the State Organizing Secretary, APC, Benue State while alerting the public on the commencement of the polls said;
"This is to inform members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State that the party's rescheduled gubernatorial rerun primary election will hold today, Thursday February 2, 2023 at designated ward headquarters across the affected 11 local governments.
The timetable released by the National Electoral Committee of the party indicates that electoral materials would be distributed to returning officers between 6:30am and 7:30am while accreditation would start from 8am and end by 12 noon with voting following immediately after accreditation at ward headquarters.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Sen. Bashir Lado and Secretary, Margaret Duru have announced the reposting of returning officers as follows:

In a related development, the National Working Committee has trimmed down the Electoral Committee from the initial seven
members to five members namely;

4. Attah Ahmed - Member
5. Margaret Duru - Secretary.
The Appeal Panel on the other hand has Umma Kolo-as Chairman, Dr. Kabir Shehu Habib-Member and Engr. Umar Sanda Ibrahim - Secretary.
Party members are once again encouraged to come out massively to vote in the court ordered rerun primary election".
