Governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Barr. Sam Ode has made a u-turn to congratulate his fellow colleague, Rev.Fr Hyacinth Iornem Alia on his victory at the just concluded direct Primaries which was held in BENUE state,last week.

Alia, defeated Barr. Ode and eleven others in a landslide victory at the polls. In his message,the aspirant congratulated him on his overwhelming victory and went further to acknowledge his momentous acceptability by the APC family. He wrote;

 "CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE

On behalf of the Sam Ode Campaign Organization, I wish to extend  my sincerest  congratulations to Very Revd. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Ph.D on his successful outing at the just concluded governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State and subsequent nomination as the candidate of our great Party.

This victory clearly acknowledges your momentous acceptability by members of the APC family, as well as the trust and confidence of the people of Benue in your ability to salvage the state.

I wish to state here that I, Hon. Barr. Sam Ode, mni,  has accepted the result of the APC governorship primary election in the state as officially announced by the Governorship Primary Election Committee. I therefore align myself with your decisive and resounding victory. I am confident that the emergence of Very Revd. Fr. Hyacinth Alia as the candidate of our great Party will rekindle the hope of the common man in the Benue Project and encourage Benue voters to  overwhelmingly elect the candidate of the APC as the next Governor of the state come 2023. 

I also wish to salute all my former colleagues and co-contestants at the just concluded governorship primary election.  Ours was a hard-fought campaign without resentment and acrimony; and together we shall all battle to ensure victory for our Party and governorship candidate in 2023. No system in the world is perfect and therefore, whatever may be the lapses cannot possibly obliterate the main menu which is the emergence of popular candidate and of course the substantial compliance with the relevant extant laws and regulations .

Meanwhile, I deeply appreciate all members, supporters, friends and well-wishers of the Sam Ode Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation across the 23 local government areas of the state and beyond, for their conviction, bravery and commitment. Your personal sacrifices and  immeasurable contributions to the Benue Unity Project are highly appreciative and commendable. 

Finally,  as we move into the next segment of the campaign, we ought to imbibe unity of purpose and determination so as to forestall the challenges of the general election in 2023. I therefore, urge the Benue APC family to close ranks and work together as a formidable team to be able to democratically oust the insensitive and incompetent PDP-led administration in the state.
