Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia Wins APC Governorship Primaries In BENUE State

In BENUE state,a  catholic Priest , Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia has been declared winner of the 2022 Benue State All Progressives Congress Governorship Primaries.

He emerged the candidate of the party through the Direct mode of primary elections, having contested with 12 others namely, Kaase Aondoakaa SAN,Hon. Herman Hembe, Steven Lawani, Sam Ode and Senator Barnabas Gemade,others. Alia, pulled a Total number of 526,807 votes defeating them with his Dr. Matthias Byuan  coming close with 133,816 votes.

The Chairman of the Benue state 2022 Governorship Primaries election Dr. Peter Ojie Made the declaration at the Collation Centre of the primaries at State secretariat of the party in the State.

Alia, is the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress who will be face the incumbent Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Titus Uba and of the Peoples Democratic party PDP Gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 general elections.
