The management of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, headed by Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, has reduced the medical fee for childbirth to just N5,000.
Dr. HWANDE's reduction of medical bills is aimed at helping Benue Governor Hyacinth Alia dream and desire to reduce the pain of childbirth, while also paying tribute to the mothers who cared for them and gave them life.
Additionally, medical cards have been declared free for pregnant women and children under five (5) years of age at the Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Child Hospital headed by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande.
Speaking with reporters, Dr. Hwande disclosed that the said strategies are measures to ensure improved health services in the state for all Benue people, adding that the aim is to arrange hospitals rely on best practices. Speaking further, the CMD criticized the poor management strategies deployed by the previous administration that completely collapsed the BSUTH health facility, adding that the Alia-led administration prioritized the welfare of the people , is strongly committed to ensuring that the health sector in Benue State not only meets global standards but also becomes a benchmark center for other countries to emulate.
Finally, he assured the State of his determination to help Governor Hyacinthe Alia keep his campaign promises to the people of BENUE, especially regarding his assigned area.
