2023 CENSUS: NPC Gives Update Concerning Those With Pending/Approved Status

Ahead of the commencement of the 2023 Census, the NPC has announced what those with approved and pending status should do.

2023 CENSUS SUMMARY TIMELINES

In the zoom meeting of the çomptrollers nationwide with the head quarters Abuja, it is now clear that LGA training of field functionaries will commence on Thursday 13th April, 2023. 

Going by the timetable, arrival and accreditation will start tomorrow at the four training centres in Makurdi LGA. 

Names of successful candidates will be pasted today by 4.00pm. 

Posting of functionaries and allocation of classes list will be pasted at various centers by 8.00am tomorrow. 

All successful candidates should use the link to add themselves to the WhatsApp group to be able to fill the google form. 

Below is the breakdown of the activities of census functionaries in the 2023 Population and Housing Census.

1. Local Government Level Training of Supervisors and Enumerators on Building Numbering and Household Listing commences from 13th -19th April, 2023.

2. Building Numbering and Household Listing exercise (Update and Verification of Building address) will start from 20th – 24th April, 2023.

3. Local Government Level Training of Supervisors and Enumerators on Persons Enumeration will start from 26th – 30th April, 2023.

4. Census Night for the Supervisors and Enumerators posted in Special Enumeration Areas (Areas with Special Population) will commence enumeration of the special population on 2nd May, 2023.

5. Persons Enumeration (Census Proper) will start from 3rd – 7th May, 2023. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Those with pending statuses are also advised to go for training at their various local governments of application.
