BREAKING!! Rev . Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has been declared governor elect of BENUE state

Rev . Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who was suspended by the Catholic church for contesting the governorship in BENUE state have been declared governor elect in the state. 

Trailing behind is the People's Democratic Party candidate and speaker of BENUE house of assembly, Rt Hon. Titus Uba

The Governorship Election results after the Collation of 22 out of 23 Local Government Areas was announced  after the APC candidate was leading with over two hundred and fifty thousand (25) votes.

APC= 473,973☑️

PDP= 223,915

APC Winning margin  = 250,058

Meanwhile, elections for Kwande LGA has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 21st March, 2023 after it was suspended for some irregularities.

The Returning Officer, Prof F. A. Kuta, declared Rev. Alia as governor-elect  on 20th of March at exactly 5:30pm .
