Presidency Reacts To VP Osinbajo Been Involved In Accident [VIDEO]

Earlier today, there were reports that the Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo had been involved in an accident on his way to  Abuja airport on Monday.

The VP was heading to Owo, Ondo state as condolence visit to the state following an attack by some terrorist group on a Catholic church where fifty (50) person's allegedly lost their lives.

Recall on Sunday, 5th of May 2022, some armed men attacked St. Francis Xavier Catholic church in Owo, Ondo state where they opened fire on innocent worshipers. The Mass shooting left so many people dead and others injured causing public meltdown.

Osinbajo, however,on his way to the airport bumped into a car accident involving some persons and stopped his convoy to ensure their safety but was mistaken as being the victim.

Presidency reacting to the news said he was not the victim. They tweeted:

"CLARIFICATION: Vice President @ProfOsinbajo was not involved in an accident. On his way to the Airport, en-route to Owo, Ondo State on a condolence visit, his convoy stopped to assist the lone victim of a car accident. Victim has been transported to Airforce Base Hospital. 

Also,  Laolu Akande, the spokesman for the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has clarified that his principal was not involved in an accident. 

Tweeting, Akande said, 

“On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, & ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP's convoy ambulance.

“He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday's attack in Owo.”
