Names & Faces Of 10 African Americans Killed By White Supremacist In Buffalo New York

Peyton Gendron,18, a white supremacist on the 15th of May 2022 launched a terrorist attack   in a supermarket at least killing ten African Americans who went for groceries shopping in Buffalo, New York.

The 18-year-old who made a live broadcast via Twitch of the crime where his AR15 rifle read "n!ggers" engaged in mass shooting which left 10 persons dead,3 wounded and all the victims were all African Americans.

Peyton, who has since been arrested approached the supermarket which was predominantly visited by black people then opened fire at them.  According to report, a retired police officer, Aaron Salter Jr who was at the scene when the active shooter came in lost his life while trying to engage the him. 

Aaron who couldn't pacify Peyton to stop the attack, shot at him multiple times but due to his heavily plated armored body the bullets couldn't penetrate. Though,his approach of the situation helped many people escape.

The families of the victims have taken to social media to mourn their lost whilst describing the incidence as an act of terrorism on black community. 

Below are the
faces of all the victims of the mass shooting which took place at Buffalo, NY. In no alphabetical order;

1. Ruth Whitfield, 86. Her son, the former Buffalo Fire Commissioner, said she was on her way from visiting her husband in a nursing home and stopped at the grocery store to get something to eat but it ended on a sad note.

2. Aaron Salter Jr. A retired police officer who worked for 30yrs was identified by his son. Salter, Jr. was a retired officer from @BPDAlerts working security at the Tops market. When the shooter came in, Aaron engaged and tried to stop him. He was killed in the process, but his actions gave others time to escape harm.

Salter,known as the friendly markets security guard joined the Buffalo Police Department right out of high school. He leaves behind three lovely children.

3. Pearl Young, 77, was a mother, grandmother, and key member of her church. For 25 years she fed those in need in the city’s Central Park neighborhood. Pearly Young, 77, was killed today in Buffalo shopping for groceries.

The grandma,for 25 years ran a pantry where every Saturday she fed people in Central Park.She loved singing, dancing, & being with family.

4.Roberta Drury, 32, from Syracuse. She was in Buffalo spending time with family and to help her brother recover from a bone marrow transplant.She leaves behind 3 siblings and her parents.

5.Celestine Chaney, 65, was a breast cancer survivor with 7 grandkids.

6. Heyward Patterson, a deacon at his church, would frequently give people rides to and from the Tops supermarket and help them carry their groceries.

7. Andre Mackniel, a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend. According to his brother, he was at Tops supermarket to buy a birthday cake for his son who just turned 3.

8. Katherine 'Kat' Massey, 72, was an advocate for civil rights & education in her community. Massey had gone to Tops to do some grocery shopping.Kat wrote for both the Buffalo Challenger & Buffalo Criterion.
A year ago, she wrote in support of more federal regulation of firearms.

9. Geraldine Chapman Talley, 62, was described by her niece, Kesha Chapman, as a gentle soul. “She loved everybody. She was always smiling. She didn't like confrontation.Tally, wanted everything to be easy and full of love."

10. Margus D. Morrison, 52, was a father-of-three and was described by family and friends as a “nice person that never bothered anyone.”

According to Buffalo police Dept press release, those who were wounded have been identified as Zaire Goodman, 20, of Buffalo, NY;  Jennifer Warrington, 50, of Tonawanda, NY; and Christopher Braden, 55, of Lackawanna, NY.


The #Buffalo shooter refers to himself as an anti-Semite and a white supremacist.
