2022 JAMB Results Updated!

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB)has given an update on why there's delay in releasing the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, stated on Tuesday that the decision was made as a result of an internal appraisal process.

Ishaq said, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) would not want to announce results because it had asked people to make reports, particularly on malpractices. The statements were made in an interview with the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) in Abuja after a meeting of the National Youth Service Corps management and Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria.

“Yes, there is no reason for us not to reveal the results, but we are also conducting an internal evaluation.” One, we don’t want to get into a situation where you disclose results and then start withdrawing some of them; as a result, we’ve urged individuals to submit reports, particularly in the case of fraud. “And on the first day after the results were ready, we analyzed the report and discovered that around 40% of the information was missing. So what’s the point of releasing 60% and causing confusion? We have stated that we would not reveal the results for this year’s exams until we have received all of the reports of examination malpractices. “So, the issue of publishing results has been resolved, and the results that will be released will be quite few in comparison to the vast quantity that we had previously. The results are ready, but we believe we need to have all of the reports; we now have approximately 70% of the reports updated, but we would like to have 100% of them. “The results will be released; for example, I was informed that the exam scheduled for Saturday has been completed.

All of the findings have been received; when I come to the office today, I will sign the document and it will be sent out.” The JAMB CEO also addressed the issue of persons who were unable to write the UTME due to technological difficulties in several CBT centers, which he described as “tragic.” “I’m not familiar with those institutions.” It is not necessary to worry about technological difficulties because we have rescheduled all of the BVN concerns from yesterday (Monday) to today (Tuesday). We developed four parts to ensure that all of them were cleared because it was not the candidate’s fault. “We had a technical problem with one of our service providers, and they used a different character where they were meant to use one, which caused some confusion for the candidates.”

Nevertheless, we have addressed this issue by reassigning them, and they will all be assigned to the fourth section by the end of tomorrow. “As you are aware, the third portion concludes at approximately 3:30 p.m., therefore we purposely made a fourth section to ensure that we complete them by tomorrow because we do not have time.” We will continue to update you so that you will know when the result is out. He added!

We'll keep you updated once there's a new development.
