Chinonso Ejike,16, has been arrested for stabbing to d£ath a 35-year-old lady ,Esther Ijeoma Obasi  who is also her neighbor.  Chinonso who's mother was not around sat down looking hungry and the lady decided to serve him food which he ate ,after a few minutes he brutally stabbed her to death.

It was alleged, the boy, attacked the woman with a knife and stabbed her 8 to 9 times till she slumped. Then he dragged her bleeding body to a bush in their backyard to submerge it in a swamp. Though his own version at the police station seem to be a bit different.

In Chinonso's first confessional statement to the Police, he claimed to have killed Ijeoma because she wouldn't give him her new iPhone. Apparently,after Ijeoma finished cooking and dished food for him,he ate then brought the back the plate,as he was about to leave,he saw her with a new iPhone and asked her to hand it over to him which she took as a joke,laughed it off and said no.

So, later at night around 9pm, he returned back,knocked at her door,told her to come see something at the back of her house which she blindly followed using her phone as torchlight and before she knew it, Chinonso launched an attack on her with a knife while she screamed for help but at the time of the incidence, everyone had their generator on so her screams could not be heard properly.

The few person's who heard her voice approached the scene and on spotting them he fled immediately,while saying "I don kill am, I don kill am" meaning I've killed her. Neighbors on getting to the scene, saw Ijeoma in the pool of her blood in a swamp ,then rushed her to the hospital but she couldn't survive as she already lost so much blood. The case was reported to the police and manhunt was launched against him. Fortunately,he was arrested at an uncompleted building the next ,where he had spent the night with blood all over his body.

According to police, Chinonso was a known phone thief who was previously detained for theft where he spent a couple of months in prison before he was released not to long ago. It was also gathered that the teenager had animosity towards Ijeoma because she reported him to his mother after she caught him peeping through her window to watch her undress.

In a separate confessional statement, at another police station,her told them his cult group encouraged him to kill in order to get promoted to a higher rank and since Ijeoma had offended and humiliated him in the past,he saw her as an easy target.
