Hon Yakubu Dogara Sacked From The House Of Representative

House Of Representative member, Yakubu Dogara sacked by Court today, 22nd of April 2022.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives who represents Bogoro/Dass Federal constituency of Bauchi State was sacked by the court for defecting to APC.

Dogara,who won his re-election in 2019 under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, defected to the All Progressive Congress stating unresolved differences with his state governor, Bala Mohammed.

During the court's ruling, D. U Okorowo declared that Hon. Dogara's defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressive Congress was a wrong move which automatically invalidates his election.

The judge passed his judgement by declaring his seat vacant.
